Congratulations to the graduating class. Awesome and well done job. Let our graduate not forget: they have embarked on a "purposeful" life, which has three attributes: Assist God to heal the sick and wounded, assist God in the creation of new life to propegate life on this planet, and assist God in the charity by providing medical care to the needy who are helpless and poor. Medical profession is NOT a money making profession, instead it is a noble and reverand and respectable profesion one needs pay attention to evey step of the way, heed to calls no matter time of the day to save a life, and to protect the sanctity of life. Having under taken such puroseful career, if money come on thier way, they have earned it with well deserving gratitute from the people whom they served. This is the advice I gave to my own daughter who is in medical college. Again congratulations to all those smiling faces and heir parents.

The seed that was planted by Father Muller one hundred and twenty-nine years ago has grown into a mighty tree and it is gratifying to see that from a mere Homeopathy care center, it has now grown into a mighty hospital and a medical college - thanks to the foresight of the diocesan authorities especially Rt. Rev. Dr. Basil D'Souza and the present bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Aloysius. Paul. D'Souza I have had the pleasure of working with the institution for over fifteen years as a Governing board member and during my tenure was associated with efficient Directors - Rev. Peter Noronha, Rev. Alexander D'Souza and Rev. Bernard Moras (now Archbishop of Bangalore). I specially treasure memories of my close contact with Father Peter Noronha who I worked with in good times and bad under difficult circumstances Presently The Institution is being managed by Rev. Father Patrick Rodrigues who holds a masters degree in Health care from a prestigious University in U.S.A. He has set the stage for future growth and with his fund of knowledge, experience and innate ability as a problem solver it is anticipated that he will take FMCI to great heights. He has the full support of highly dedicated and experienced priests Father Stan Tauro - administrator Hospital and Father Denis D'Sa the administrator of the college. Ecclesiastics - Rev. Rudolph Ravi D'Sa, Rev. Wilfred Prakash D'Souza, Rev. Frank Rodrigues and Rev. Apolinaris Crasta make a great ream who go all out to keep up the tradition and the great name of FATHER MULLER'S HOSPITAL, COLLEGE AND OTHERS. Father Patrick indeed made the right choice of the Chief guest His Excellency Gen. S. Rodrigues. Governor of Punjab who graced the occasion with his charming wife Smt. Jeanne. I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful couple at a party hosted in their honour by Captain John Prasad and his wife Sunita at Hotel Gateway, Mangalore Kudos to Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza, Rev. Father Patrick and his entire set up who are working unceasingly to to advance the cause of helping the suffering humanity. Joe Gosnalves
