Kuwait: KCWA Election on March 27

Kuwait, Mar 5: Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA), premier and largest Mangalorean catholic association in Kuwait will hold its next general election on Friday 27th March 09 at Don Bosco School (IEAS), Salmiya at 6:00 PM, to elect the new Executive Committee for the year 2009-11.

Following Executive Committee positions are open for contest;

President, Vice President, General Secretary, Asst. General Secretary, Treasurer (General), Treasurer (Cultural), Auditor, Member’s Affairs Coordinator, Public Relation Officer, Sports Secretary, Cultural Secretary, Liturgical Services & Education Fund Coordinator, Website Administrator.

In the General Body Meeting held on Friday 27th February at IEAS, a 3 member Election Commission was set up for this purpose as stipulated in the constitution. The commission members unanimously elected are outgoing President Jossie Pinto and former committee members Joel Lewis & Nelly Colaco.
 
KCWA members wishing to contest in the election are requested to contact the commission members for the nomination form and submit the signed original form in person to any of the commission members. Last date to submit nomination is 10th March 09 and Last date to withdraw nomination is 13th March 09. All contestants must be present in the election meeting.

All members are kindly requested and encouraged to take active part in the election process and attend the election meeting in large numbers on Friday 27th March to elect an able and efficient new office bearers for the next term to carry KCWA to greater heights.
