Kuwait, Feb 28: First time in Kuwait, on 20th February 2009, Brahmavargars' met in  Hi-Dine Restaurant Hall - Abbasiya to form an organization  "KUWAIT BRAHMAVAR WELFARE ASSOCIATION (K.B.W.A.)  with the motive of betterment of the needy people down in home town.

Earlier on 13th of February 2009 the holy mass was offered at St.Therese Church Salmiya, Kuwait, for the Almighty’s Blessings and guidance for this new venture.

The sparkling event commenced at sharp 12.30pm. The inauguration ceremony began with lighting the lamp by Fr. Melvin D'Cunha Parish Priest of Holy Family Cathedral - Kuwait followed by a welcome song (composed & directed by Austin Salins Brahmavar) and a welcome speech by President  Cyril D'Souza Handady.


























Fr. Melvin D’Cunha prayed & delivered a speech for the success of the organization. Newly selected committee members cut the cake and multiplied the spirit of the occasion. Vice President  L.J. D’Souza enlightened the purpose and objective of this get together.

K.B.W.A. honored the famous writer "Gibba Kulshekar and Gulf voice of Mangalore 'Vinay Lewis'. Comedy skits were played by well known Comedy artists Agnelo, Avil, Edward and A mimicry played by Louis D'Silva were a great hit.  The eye-catching event  the “ Magic show “ brilliantly performed. It was fun and electrifying and enjoyed by children and adults.

Foot tapping - Live Konkani, Hindi, English songs performed by well known singers, Austin, Vinay, Ivan, Janet, Anil,  Lavina, Ranjit, Roshan, Sumit, Vincent  of  “Pearls beat group”  entertained  & made every one dance on the floor. D.J. “Kenal Veen” spun the discs and entertained the crowd.  They played their choicest selection of songs.























This event was sponsored by Austin Salins, Anitha Roche, Daniel D'Souza, Johnson D'Souza, Jerome D'Silva,  Fredrick Rodrigues, Juliet D'silva, Louis D'Silva,  Samuel Lewis, Vinod Lewis,Wilfred D'Silva and Walter Fernandes.

A sumptuous buffet lunch was relished by all. The function will be remembered forever.

Walter Fernandes compered the event with his unique style along with  mind blowing singing. The executive committee (Cyril D’Souza, L.J. D’Souza, Vinod Lewis, Gladys D’Silva, Don Lewis) played a vital role in organizing this program while Gladys D'Silva proposed vote of thanks.
