Mangaluru, Feb 28: Vaibhav Dange, private secretary of Union road transport minister Nitin Gadkari, inspected the progress of the work of Pumpwell flyover in the city.
He was accompanied by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel. It is learnt that Vaibhav Dange gave the deadline to the officials of Navayuga Company to complete the work.
It is said that the secretary warned the officials to complete the work by end of April or May. He also instructed the concerned authorities to make necessary arrangements for the smooth movement of vehicle below the flyover.

Thu, Feb 28 2019This is just the first phase of the Delhi-Meerut Expressway which is 96 km long. However, what PM Modi inaugurated was just a 9-km long road completed so far in the capital; the actual expressway will be ready in 2020.
The Delhi-Meerut expressway, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in May, is already showing cracks with the first spell of pre-monsoon showers. According to a report in ABP, an entire portion of the road has caved in.
The same report said initially a crack appeared on one side and then, a portion of the road caved in. Engineers working on the reconstruction of the damaged portion, the report claimed, blamed water trickling in from the drains for the caving-in of the road.
Like PM Modi's 'Aache din' without any calendar day of the year, Mangalore two time MP astrological calculation predicted 'April' and 'May' without mentioning any year.
Hope this pump well does not cave in to make another lake in the middle of the city so that cow's and buffaloes can relax in the murky water.
Finally since after 25 years under BJP's ruling since 1991 one flyover will be inaugurated coincide with Lok Sabha elections.

Thu, Feb 28 2019This bridge is still small and can be shifted as a footbridge. I think we were better without a fly over. All public money wasted, years wasted, people's hard work wasted. This cannot be blamed on only Nalin, there are more culprits from Central to State who are thirsty for money. Traffic was controlled & the roundabout looked pretty then.

If you recollect your memory it was Sonia Gandhi who was reponsible for handing over this project to former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YSR Rajasekhar Reddy's Navayuga company.

Thu, Feb 28 2019Which April - May ? 2030?. Completing it by April May this is year is a pipe dream and just a ploy to fool the public before elections. I passed by two weeks ago and saw that everything is in a mess and it would take at least a year to complete it if serious work is taken up immediately. I simply cannot understand why contractors are allowed to dig up and destroy roads if a fool proof time bound completion plan is not in place. In every case you see roads dug up for years and then after decades with public pressure a shoddy patchy completion job done.
