Udupi, Feb 28: The residents of Vidyarathna Nagar at Manipal near here are spending anxious moments as a leopard was spotted on the night of Tuesday, February 26.
The leopard was found near the residence of B G Mohandas. The inmates of the house were awakened by the continuous barking of the dogs. When the people in the house started screaming, the leopard escaped from the spot.
It is suspected that the leopard was wandering in the said area in order to prey on the dog. The movements of the leopard are caught on a nearby CCTV.

Residents of the locality informed the forest officials about the appearance of leopard. They have urged the forest department to take suitable action soon.

Thu, Feb 28 2019Sometime back, in Delhi, while his mother was cooking, son told her that there was a lion in their living room. Mother thought, since the TV was on, the child might have seen it on the TV. Later she found it to be real and after closing door, called the police. When concerned people came, they found that the lion was fast asleep. They said since DD programme was on TV, lion got bored and slept.
