Governor Jamir Presents Honorary Doctorate to Sunil Gavaskar

Mumbai, Feb 5: Governor S C Jamir on Wednesday February 4, presented the honorary doctorate of Dr D Y Patil University to legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar at the third convocation of the said university, held at Navi Mumbai here. 
 
University chancellor Dr D Y Patil presided over the convocation ceremony. 
 


The University also awarded the honorary doctorate to Republic of Mauritius Prime Minister Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam, in absentia to the Republic of Mauritius social security minister Sheilabai Bappoo.
 
Doctorate was also awarded to Maharastra Airport Development Company Limited deputy chairman and managing director R C Sinha on this occasion.
