Pune, Jan 22: Ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal says she feels like a "near-perfect player" after getting massive international exposure in the past couple of years and is ready to become the world's number one player by the end of next year.

Currently ranked 10th in the world, Saina said "if all goes well" she would top the ranking by the year 2010.

"I have always dreamt of becoming world number one. I have been working very hard and feel I can fulfill my dream," the star shuttler, who is here to participate in the XXIX PSPB Inter Unit Badminton Tournament, said.

Saina said she was working hard to correct the flaws in her game.

"Currently I am working quite hard to improve my weak points and the forthcoming All England Championship in March 2009 and the Swiss Open to follow thereafter should help me gain in confidence," she said.

"...these foreign exposures has helped me gain in confidence, and I have started to feel a near perfect player," she said.

"Mentally I have now become quite strong, and now started playing an attacking game, concentrating on improvement in drop shots and on rallies," she added.
