Mumbai, Dec 31: Dr Taltanje Vasant Kumar, retired head of department of Kannada, Mumbai University, was felicitated by ‘Srajana’, the association of Kannada women writers on Tuesday December 30. The function was held at the Kannada Sangh office, Matunga, in the metro.
Dr Sunita M Shetty appreciated the working style of Dr Taltanje and his service to the metro.
Srajana deputy convener Shakuntala Prabhu, Shyamala Madhav, Dr Medha Kulkarni, Kannada Sangha president G S Nayak, and honourary chief secretary B Nagabhushan were present on the dais.
Dr Girija Shastry welcomed the gathering and Ahalya Ballal compered the programme.
A large gathering of Dr Taltanje’s students also congratulated him on the occasion.
