Community associations empower the society. They boost the dignity of the community and provide a platform to exhibit the talents of community members, said Narayan R Gowda, president of the local Sri Adichunchanagiri Seva Samiti.

Associations and committees not only form a part of organization, they are like a family.  It also promotes brotherhood.  Hence, associations should serve the community for their welfare that could repay the debt of society, he added.



Gowda was speaking after presiding over the third annual day celebrations of Sri Adichunchanagiri Seva Samiti on Sunday December 28, held at their office located at Sanjay Chambers, Dr Charat Singh Colony, Chakala, Andheri (East).
 
Real estate owner Manjunath Gowda, Panvel, was the chief guest while Okkaligara Dairy publisher K T Chandra was the guest of honour present on the occasion. 
 
Silent prayers were offered to the victims of the recent terrorists attacks in the metro.
 
Samiti vice-presidents K Raje Gowda and Rangappa C Gowda, chief secretary Raje Gowda B, joint secretary Shekar J Gowda, honourary treasurer Gangadar N Gowda, joint treasurer D S Mutte Gowda, managing committee members Mohankumar J Gowda and Anand B Gowda were present on the dais.
