Dubai: Major Fire Erupts at Al Nasr Cinema

Dubai, Dec 21: A major fire has been reported from the Al Nasr Cinema in Karama. Witnesses on the spot have reported a thick plume of smoke emanating from the blaze site.

According to preliminary reports, no casualties have been reported.

Smoke is still billowing from the interior of the building in Oud Metha, Karama, which was closed as a cinema more than a year ago.



Police have closed the roundabout and the roads leading to the former cinema.

Eyewitnesses reported flames shooting several metres into the air as the area become covered in black smoke.

No injuries have been reported.

Al Nasr Cinema was famous for showing Hindi and Malayalam language movies before it closed down in 2007.
