Mumbai, Dec 17:
Poornachandra Tejasvi has pursued science as an experience. It was not followed in the same manner in our country.  It has progressed just as technology, said S R Vijayashankar, eminent critic, Bangalore.

Vijayashankar was addressing the gathering at a symposium during the ‘Poornachandra Tejasvi Sahityotsav’, held recently at Mysore Association auditorium, Matunga. It was jointly organized by the Kannada department of Mumbai University and the Mysore Association.

The critic is also a reader who reads to increase his knowledge.  The difference between a reader and a critic lies in their habit of reading, he said.  The reader just reads without grasping anything significant while the critic can test his knowledge by grasping. Nature has vital information to unravel, added Vijayashankar.

Tejasvi’s close associate and litterateur Padmasreerama in recalling various incidences about Tejasvi said that he could write from an angle that cannot be imagined by others.  His chief qualities were silence and the curiosity of a child.  He lived through all facets of life, to express it in his works, said Padmasreerama.

Kannada department chief Dr E S Upadhyaya in response to Padmasreerama’s notion on Tejasvi, said that Tejasvi had explained very well the difference between culture followed in the ancient times where humans survived with mere hunting and progressed into that of farming. He had a rare sense of humour.

Bharatkumar Polipu, director of plays, director analyzed Tejasvi’s play ‘Yamana Prashne’ and wondered why Tejasvi had authored just one play. Bunts’ Association secretary Madhusudan was also present on the dais.
