All my dear Omzooreans!!! I am so glad to see you all here. I did love viewing every bit of this article, which took me back to my sweet home back to Omzoor, proudly say ‘Moje Kular’. Matty, thrilled to see you singing!!!

Your beautiful voice started ringing in my ears!! Prakash (Pakku) Alger was glad to see his beloved friend, whom he missed on his last trip to Omzoor.

Arthur (Roshu) glad to know the Family skit is from you, I am sure Holy Family has inspired you on this.

Lancy (my sweet brother) while I see you here with all your performances, I was delighted and sweet memories took me back to Thew Vado of Omzoor (my Mom's kular) It’s nice to see you, Jyothi and Joyston all in acting. Lancy Jyothi your dance reminded me your childhood days where we used to tease you “Love thy neighbor” Hey Georgy (Mana) your dance made me dance. Felicitating Donny Pernal was a nice gesture you showed for your love on Konkani and Mangalorean culture. Though I mentioned only few names all you my dear Omzooreans, I did enjoy viewing all your snaps.

I do salute Donny Lobo, Doha Qatar’s comments! Omzoor is a parish richly blessed by the Holy Family (Patron) Joseph, May, Jesus. The Holy Family blessed all the Families with Talented seeds to add to your list, Dr. Rev. Fr. Charles Vas SVD is just from the foot of Holy Family Church. If we start naming, the LIST will go on and on. Since OMZOOR is an ancient Church, no doubt it is a “KULVAR” for most of the Mangalorean. Last but not least Thanks to daijiworld.com for taking me back to Omzoorche Vodle Festh.

Congratultions to those who hail from Omzoor parish for the great show and the occasion being graced by none other than the great Walter Nandalike of Daijiworld. Perhaps the Omzoorians will be much pleased to remember that one of the greatest Konkany writer of all times …KADAP ( late VJP Saldanha) hailed from Mermajal ward of Omzoor Parish., and the Kelarai Parish too was earlier under Omzoor Parish and my grandmother late Annie Saldanha ( Mother of late Vokil Kaithan Lobo) was also born and ultimately laid to rest in the Omzoor Cemetry…. It is known that because of its location, Omzoor was the one of the few Parishes which escaped the genocide which hundreds and thousands of Christians of South Kanara suffered under a fanatic ruler in the last decade of 18th century….so much so Omzoor continued to carry forward the original Cultural Heritage of Canara Christians. Incidentally in the early eighties, I myself could get almost 70% lyrics and tunes of long forgotten Traditional Konkany Folk Songs which I recorded in two albums from many elderly parishioners of Omzoor Parish!!! I do hope many among the young Omzoorche Dive will be future leaders and torch bearers of the community and not only carry forward but also spread the aroma of the “Original Cultural Heritage” of Canara Christians for the future generations.
