Bahrain, Nov 16: Balakrishna Shetty, Indian ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, hosted a reception for Yeddyurappa, chief minister of Karnataka, and his delegation at his residence, India House, recently. 

The chief minister was accompanied by Shobha Karandlaje, Panchayatraj and rural development minister, Ramachandra Gowda, medical education minister and Gopal Bhandary, Karkala MLA. 

Senior diplomats, officials, community leaders, and leading businessmen, were present at the function. Shetty welcomed and thanked Yeddyurappa and his team for visiting Bahrain. Yeddyurappa, on his part, applauded the contributions made by people from Karnataka to Bahrain’s development.

On behalf of Bunts Bahrain, Jinraj Shetty, president, and Pradeep Kumar Shetty, general secretary, along with senior members of the community presented a memento to Yeddyurappa to mark the historical occasion of the first ever visit by a Karnataka chief minister to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
