Anupam Kher resigns as FTII chairman, cites 'busy schedule'

Mumbai, Oct 31 (DC): Anupam Kher on Wednesday resigned as the chairman of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), citing busy schedule.

Kher cited his commitment to international television show for which he has to be stationed in the US as reason for stepping down, official sources told news agency PTI.

Kher was appointed as the chairman of the premier film and television institute on October 11, 2017. He had replaced Gajendra Chauhan.

The actor has recently wrapped up shooting of 'The Accidental Prime Minister' a political drama on former PM Manmohan Singh.

Anupam Kher was assigned the agenda to discredit UPA, through his own acting skills. Working within political parties, it is fine, as long as the discrediting part is implemented with character assassination with faked and bogus evidences. Entire BJP propaganda post silence of Vajpayee due to health reasons, was concocting bogus stories. It can work for a while.

Today people have started recognizing the fact that, they were taken for a ride. Their silence and continued support to Modi led BJP is just going to make the things worse not only for themselves but to the entire country.

Guys like Anupam Kher or Urjit Patel are simply facing the inevitable fate, that will recorded in history as their own incompetence and immaturity.

Mr. Kher after acting in " The Accidental Prime Minister" praised Dr. Manmohan Singh. He realized lately that what MMS did was right and what AK did earlier by criticizing him was not correct . May be AK is penalized for his praise, as the FTII chairman post was given to him after controversy of Gajendra Chauhan. So he found a easy route of busy schedule . Next will be Kiran Kher
