Sparsh Khanchandani joins 'Vikram Betaal Ki Rahasya Gaatha'

Mumbai, Oct 26 (IANS): "Uttaran" fame star Sparsh Khanchandani will be seen playing the role of a fairy in fantasy show "Vikram Betaal Ki Rahasya Gaatha".

Sparsh, known for her portrayal of the character Ichcha in "Uttaran", will essay the role of Pret Pari, an innocent angel who favours King Vikram through her wise advice.

"'Vikram Betaal Ki Rahasya Gaatha' is not just a great opportunity for me, but also a great platform for my return to television. My parents have read to me the stories of Vikram and Betaal since my childhood and the fact that I'm now getting a chance to work in this legendary story is an extraordinary experience for me," Sparsh said in a statement.

A companion to Betaal -- essayed by Makarand Deshpande -- Sparsh will be seen playing a positive role.

"I am extremely excited to work with Makarand Sir, whom I have always looked up to as an idol. He comes from a theatre background and thus comes with a different perspective which helps us push our limits to match his level of performance and deliver our best. I look forward to all the challenges and adventures that come my way in this journey and hope to make a place in the audience's heart as Pret Pari," she added.

The show is aired on &TV.
