Dubai: Muhurat of Konkani Drama ‘Sangon Mugdona’ held

Dubai, Oct 31: The cultural wing of Udentichim Neketram held t muhurat of Konkani drama ‘Sangon Mugdona’ written by the well-known playwright and the member of the Association Pradeep Barboza, Paladka at St.Mary’s Church on Friday October 31 morning.

The muhurat commenced with a welcome speech by the Association president Melwin Cardoza followed by the prayer and the blessing of the drama plot by Fr Fedrick, the parish priest of St Mary’s Church.

Pradeep Barboza along with his wife Joya Barboza was presided over blessing ceremony. The Association general secretary Valerian Pereira along with Ullas Fernandes, member of cultural committee, Arun D’Costa, ex-president of the Association were also present. Though the ceremony was brief, it was significant and momentous.

“Sangon Mugdona,” a completely fun-filled bustle will be staged during the annual day celebration of Udentichim Neketram on Friday January 23 at The Emirates English Speaking School, Dubai, UAE.

The drama practice will commence from the next week onwards and it will go with full swing until it is staged in January 2009. A houseful crowd is expected this time also as it did in the earlier dramas written & directed by Pradeep Barboza.
