No Free Flight for Shahrukh Khan

Mumbai, Oct 31: When Shahrukh Khan visits Malaysia next month to receive the title of 'Datuk', the superstar won’t get a free ride.

SRK will have to pay his airfare out of his own wallet, even though the Malaysian government will provide him accommodation for as long as he wishes to stay in the country.

Malacca’s Chief Minister Mohammed Ali Rustam said: "He is paying for his ticket but of course as our guest we will provide him with accommodation. It's only polite that we do that."

Shahrukh is being felicitated for making Malacca famous by shooting portions of his films One 2 Ka 4 and Don there.

However, ever since Shah Rukh’s name was announced for the title of 'Datuk', there has been a controversy in Malacca with many questioning whether he really deserves it.

"Despite the criticisms, I still believe Shah Rukh deserves the title… He will do more films here and promote Malacca as the new hub for Bollywood films," Rustam told reporters.
