Very exemplary. We spend extravagantly on our weddings that is spread over engagement, Roce, Nuptials and wedding reception. Whereas, poor men/women have nobody to enquire even if they want to marry. Several members of our society had to end up bachelors/spinsters for this very reason. In the long run, this type of vocation is not healthy for the society because the younger siblings may feel uncomfortable as well as guilty to lead a healthy married life when they know that the other sibling is living a lonely and miserable life. At the same time the old-age-days of these single people is even worst. The luckier of them may end up in an orphanages but the majority of them die unattended. I thank the Parish of Pakshikere to have organized such an exemplary arrangement. We all need to think in this manner and support the poor in our community. Least, we can offer to support these old single people around us and enquire their minimum needs like medical assitance.
