Mumbai, Oct 9: The Saraswat Cultural and Recreation Centre of the metro, has for the first time organized Navaratri festival with Sri Sudhindrateerta Swami of Kashi Math installed the idol of goddess Sri Durga for public worship on September 30.

The celebration concludes on Thursday October 9, at the Centre located near N L Complex, Dahisar (East). Walkeshwar temple priest Vedamurti Laxminarayan Bhat, offered puja to Sri Chandika Devi On Tuesday October 7.  Shiv Sena leader Vinod G Gosalkar was present at the puja.



Saraswat Cultural and Recreation Centre president K R Mallya, honorary general secretary M U Padiyar, honorary treasurer C N Pai, joint secretary and chief secretary Manohar V Kamath, and statue-maker Rajan Patkar Girgaon, were present on the occasion.
