Hrithik Roshan-starrer 'Kites' Hit by Hurricane

Mumbai, Sep 16: The shooting of Kites in Mexico has been suspended because of hurricane Ike.

The movie, a mega-budget project starring Hrithik Roshan, Latino beauty Barbara Mori and Kangana Ranaut , was being shot in Mexico for the last few weeks.

The shooting was reportedly progressing fine until forces of nature decided to wreak havoc. Hurricane Ike has been sweeping past the Caribbean and Cuba into the Gulf of Mexico, leaving a trail of death and destruction behind.

Consequently, the whole cast and crew of ‘Kites’ have been compelled to cancel the shoot and wait for the weather to settle down. In the meantime, the entire crew has reportedly been sitting ducks in their hotel rooms and none other is more pained by this than producer Rakesh Roshan , who is not just losing the precious dates of the actors, but also incurring heavy losses due to the postponement of the shoot.

Reports have it that Roshan senior is also thinking of returning back to the city with the entire crew and return Mexico later, when the weather would be conducive for shooting.

Directed by Anurag Basu, ‘Kites’ is about three very distinct people. Hrithik plays a character who has knowledge of different languages, but doesn’t understand the language spoken by his ladylove, played by Barbara Mori. Kangana provides the third angle to the story.
