Preity Zinta's Close Shave in a Chopper-scare!

Zee News

New Delhi, Sep 15: Priety Zinta had a scare of a lifetime while shooting in Shillong recently. The dimple-faced heroine of Bollywood was shooting for the movie ‘Har Pal’, when a chopper-accident nearly happened. The crew was based in Guwahati, and they had to fly in a chopper to Shillong everyday for the shoot. Since traveling by road was very rough, the crew had hired Air Force choppers for their conveyance.

One morning the perky Preity was being flown to the location when the chopper suddenly started loosing height. There was a 5km long stretch of lake below, and the chopper touched water! One can imagine the horror of any passenger in this situation, when the water we are talking about stays freezing cold.

But Bollywood celebs have a lot of people praying for them, and Preity’s chopper was discovered to have built-in floating device, so it stayed on the surface of the lake. They were promptly rescued by the Air Force crew and brought back safely on land.

Since the harrowing incident, Preity prefers the rocky road to Shillong, and has bid adieu to the chopper flights. The lady was so shocked that loverboy Ness flew over there to comfort his shell-shocked inamorata.

Preity’s luck seems very favourable with such a close shave, and the added security of the presence of a loved one in times of need really means a lot!
