Mangaluru: Chirashree Anchan to star opposite Arjun Kapikaad in ‘Karne’

Mangaluru, Jan 30: Actress Chirashree Anchan will play the female lead opposite Arjun Kapikaad in Tulu film ‘Karne’ directed by Saakshath. Karne will be produced by Rakshith S Kotian and Rakshith H Salian.

This will be fourth movie for Chirashree in Coastalwood. She made her debut in ‘Pavithra’ which was a blockbuster hit reaching a milestone of 100 days. She was also seen in ‘Rambarooti’. Another Tulu movie 'Aapina Matha Yeddege' is being shot.

Since the release of ‘Pavithra’, Chirashree is one of the busiest actresses in Coastalwood. Chirashree has also made her presence felt in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada film industry.

Chirashree made her Kannada debut with ‘Huliraya’ and her second movie 'Udumba' is ready for release. Movies like Shivanapaada (Kannada), Karikambaliyalli Midinaaga (Kannada), Malaithen (Tamil), and 'Karne' are expected to hit theatres by the end of 2018.

The teaser of Karne has already been released which received good response in social media. As per the sources, the muhurat of the film will be held on February 5.

The director aims to deliver a commercial film with elements of comedy. Devadas Kapikad, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Gopinath Bhatt, Vismay Vinayak, Manju Rai Muluru, Kudla Sai Krishna and others will feature in prominent roles.

Raghu Dhanvanthri will compose music for three songs in the film. One of the songs will be written by Devadas Kapikad. Cinematography will be handled by Aaruru Sudhakar Shetty.
