Mangaluru: Chirashree Anchan shines in Kannada debut ‘Huliraya’

Mangaluru, Oct 8: Actress Chirashree Anchan who mesmerized one and all with her outstanding performances in Coastalwood movies, has done an excellent job In her Kannada debut ‘Huliraya’. Despite being present for only a considerable amount of time in the film, Chirashree has done justice to her role of ‘Malli’.

The lass from Haleangadi, has portrayed a simple look in the film. She looks more confident throughout the movie with perfect dialogue delivery. Chirashree who is growing in her career at a rapid pace, is one of busiest actresses from Coastalwood. Chirashree is awaiting two releases in Kannada and another two films in Tamil and Kannada are being shot at present.

‘Huliraya’ has elements of comedy-drama and crime thriller. The film is about migrants.

The first half tells about Suresha (Baalu Nagendra), a dreamer and vagabond who grew up in the forest listening to ‘Huliraya’ tales. He loves to paint images of his own on the rocks in the forest he lives in. Suresha alias Huliraya’s mother urges him to find a job in the city. She says there is nothing they can do in the forest.

Malli (Chirashree Anchan) plays Suresha’s love interest in the film. Malli and her father too urge him to go to the city to earn so as to be worthy enough to marry her. Suresha moves to the city to earn money by doing menial jobs but it becomes hard for him to adjust to city life as he was brought up in a forest area.

In the second half, the story revolves around Suresha and how he faces hurdles to prove himself. It tells us of his encounter with crime in his journey and whether he is able to marry his love interest Malli.

Cinematographer Ravi has beautifully shot the movie in forests like Hebri, Agumbe and others. Songs composed by Arjun Ramu are also catchy.

Speaking to daijiworld.com, Chirashree Anchan said, "It was a great experience to shoot in forest areas. It was challenging as I am afraid of crawling creatures. Overall, it was a great experience. I looked natural in simple attire. I am happy that ‘Huliraya’ has received good response from the audience so far.”
