Mumbai, May 31: Other than Shah Rukh Khan who is a chain smoker, the other man who is known for his nicotine addiction is Ajay Devgan. The actor smokes like a chimney and his ashtray never seems to cool off with the frequency at which he douses cigarette butts. But all that seems to have changed off late.

Ajay Devgan has not lit a cigarette in 15 days. “Smiling away to glory, the actor confesses, “I am feeling great. I just woke up one day and decided to kick the habit.” Wife Kajol had always been opposed to Ajay’s smoking but it’s not that easy for any chain smoker to get their hands off a light. So what influenced Ajay to curb smoking? As they say there’s no smoke without fire (in literal terms).

The story goes that post the sad demise of Kajol’s father Shomu Mukherjee following a heart attack, Kajol was obviously quite disturbed and her concern for hubby dear only amplified. Taking in regard his wife’s concern, Ajay was all the more determined to do away with smoking and has successfully worked towards quitting his evil trait.

Devgab reveals, “It has not been easy. But I take each day at a time.”

Ajay Devgan has returned from his Bangkok schedule of Golmaal Returns and starts shooting for the animation film Toonpur Ka Superhero from today in Mumbai.
