Udupi: Grand ceremony marks release of Tulu film ‘Pattanaje’

Udupi, Sep 2: Tulu film ‘Pattanaje’ was released with a grand inauguration programme at Ashirvad theatre on Friday, September 1.

Adressing the gathering, member of the Legislative Council Kota Srinivas Poojary said, “This film should be very successful. ‘Pattanaje’ has embodied all features of Tulunadu. I wish the very best to the makers of this film.”

Poojary also promised to do his best to get more facilities for Tulu films which can develop them further.

Director Thonse Vijay Kumar Shetty said, “I happy the way the film has come out. ‘Pattanaje’ is a complete package of entertainment, love, and culture of Tulunadu. Please watch the film and support us.”

Popular artiste of Kannada film industry and Yakshagana Ramakrishna said, “Thonse Vijayakumar Shetty has directed a great film. It is shot beautifully and the performances of the stars are also good. It is a must watch.”

Winner of Miss Teen Grand Sea Universe, Shastra Shetty was felicitated.

Lead actor of the ‘Pattanaje’, Surya Rao, heroine Reshma Shetty and other members of the film were present.

Former Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat, CMC president Meenakshi Madhava Bannanje, executive director of Manipal Media Ltd T Goutham Pai, entrepreneur Gurme Suresh Shetty, Uday Shetty, Raghuram Shetty, Purushottam Shetty and others were present.
