Mangaluru: Prince Jacob’s drama ‘Padri’ creates record with 350 shows

Mangaluru, Aug 19: Well-known Konkani actor Prince Jacob’s drama ‘Padri’ has created a record with 350 shows. Its sequel ‘Padri Monis Nhoi’ has been presented 50 times.

Prince Jacob has been seen in many Konkani films and recently in the superhit Konkani film ‘Noshibacho Khell'. His drama ‘Padri’ was made into a film in 2005 which became a hit in Mangaluru. ‘Padri’ showed the life of priests. Prince wrote ‘Padri’ on 12 April, 1998. The drama has created a record in the 125-year-old Konkani drama history.

The actor’s dramas have all got a common factor, the letter ‘P’. Prince Jacob’s 25 dramas’ titles begin with the letter ‘P’.
