Mangaluru, Aug 18: The audio release of much awaited Tulu film 'Jugari' was held in a splendid ceremony at Town Hall on Thursday, August 17.

'Jugari' is directed by Anand P Raju, and produced by Pammi Kodialbail and R Dhanraj under the banner of 9 o' Clock Creations.

Wishing success to ‘Jugari’ former state minister Krishna J Palemar said, “Tulu films are shining globally now. They are being recognised all over the world. Audiences are attracted to Tulu films as they are very unique. Most of the films give a good message to the society. They bring people together without discriminating anyone on the basis of religion, caste and creed. 'Jugari' is a attractive title. I hope this movie has a good message to the society. I wish all success to the cast and crew of this movie.”

Launching the audio Sa Ra Govindu, president of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce said, “I came to Mangaluru 35 years ago for a Christian community programme. I was stunned to see the arrangements of the programme and the discipline of the organizers. I fell in love with Mangaluru. Mangalureans do not compromise on professionalism.”

“Tulu is one of the important regional languages in Karnataka. Tulu is important to us along with Konkani, Kodava, and Beary. These languages should get importance along with Kannada. I know that Tulu film industry is suffering a lot because of its small market and profit sharing issue with theaters. As the president of KFCC, I have to do justice to the movies of this language. I will arrange a meeting of multiplex theatre owners and Tulu movie producers very soon and hope for a positive outcome,” he assured.

“R Dhanraj has experience in film production and his movie has received national award too. In 'Jugari' he has introduced Pammi Kodialbail, a new producer to Coastalwood. Talented and well-known director Anand P Raju has directed this movie. There was some delay owing to bad health of the director. But the producers waited patiently till the completion of the film. This shows the producers’ faith in the director. There is no doubt that 'Jugari' will become a super hit in Coastalwood,” he added.

Walter Nandalike, the founder of Daijiworld media said, “Actually producing a film itself is a ‘Jugari’. We have many instances where people have invested a small amount and achieved success and vice-versa. Some people have become rich while some have lost everything. But if there is sincerity, there is victory. Filmmakers should do their work with sincerity and dedication. Success will hunt them automatically."

Director Anand P Raju said, “The shooting of ‘Jugari’ got delayed due to my ill health. I told the producers to complete the movie with other directors. But they had faith in me. I am very grateful to them. We will complete the remaining portion within a few days.”

BJP south constituency Vedavyas Kamath said, “Pammi and Dhanraj have sacrificed a lot for the sake of ‘Jugari’. Tulu film industry is a quite small. But the makers have made the movie without having any intention of making profit. This shows their love towards Tulu language. I congratulate both of them and wish all the luck for the release.”

KFCC vice-president Umesh Bhantker, producer K Manju, actors Naveen D Padil, Roopika, Manju Rai Mulooru, Shambhavi Amma, Devadas Kapikad, Vijaya Kumar Kodialbail and crew members of 'Jugari 'were present.
