Mangaluru, Aug 11: The much-awaited Tulu comedy movie 'Are Marler' from the house of 'Bolli Movies' hit theatres here on Friday, August 11.
Before the release, a grand inauguration was held at Prabhath theatre. Ganesh Rao, managing director of Karavali College, Fr Denis D'Sa, PRO Udupi Diocese, Sachidanada Shetty, Kishore Shetty and the star cast lit the ceremonial lamp.
Addressing the gathering, Ganesh Rao said, "Everyone has a craze for particular things. Such madness is also called passion. The Tulu movie industry is filled with such passionate persons, and because of this passion, the industry is growing rapdily.
"The entire Tulunadu knows Devadas Kapikad, his achievements in and contribution to Tulu drama and cinema. The earlier productions of Bolli Movies have been massive successes. No doubt this movie will also set a milestone in Coastalwood. Congratulations to the cast and the entire crew."
Fr Denis D Sa said, "Devadas Kapikad and I are very old friends. I know Arjun Kapikad since his childhood. Now he has made us proud with his talent. Tulunadu is famous for its unique culture and traditions. The harmony between people of all religions makes us different from others. We can see this harmony in the Tulu movie industry also. That is why the movies get massive response. I wish all success to 'Are Marler' and its team."
The comedy family entertainer has Arjun Kapikad in the lead role and new face Nishmitha as the heroine. Arvind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjur, Saikrishna Kudla, Satish Bandale are part of the star cast with Arjun Kaje in villain’s role.
The movie has four songs sung by Devdas Kapikad, Supriya Lohith, Nakul Abhyankar and Arjun Kapikad.
Story-screenplay-dialogue, music and direction for the movie are by 'Telikeda Bolli' Devdas Kapikad and cinematography by Uday Balla. Film editing is done by state award winner Sujit Nayak and background music provided for the movie by Prince of Melodies Kadri Manikanth. Audio rights for the movie are owned by Anand Audio, where Sachin A S Uppinagandy is the executive producer.
Arjun Kapikad is the chief associate director assisted by Prashanth Kalladka and Arjun Kaje. Mass Mada is the stunt director where Star Giri is the dance choreographer. Rajesh Kudla, Ashish Vaman and Ubar have contributed immensely towards the creation of the new movie.
