Mysore: Terrorists Needed TV Remote, Not Food

SOM

Mysore, Apr 28: "Get us the TV remote first. We are not particular about food."

This was what the suspected terrorists told the room boy of the lodge where they stayed here.

"Four persons came to our hotel from Bangalore in a Tata Indica car. One of them came to the reception counter and asked for a room to accommodate all four of them. The hotel Manager got their addresses noted down, gave the keys of Room No.135 to me and asked me to show the room to them," explained the room boy Ravi about the suspected terrorists.

"As all the four persons were carrying individual bags, I did not carry any of their luggage. I guided them to the allotted room and asked them whether they needed any food. They sought nothing expect the TV remote. One out of the four persons spoke a little Kannada," said Ravi.

"Being a Saturday, there was lot of rush in the hotel and could not observe. Moreover I did not serve them any coffee or tea yesterday morning. Policemen in mufti were seen moving around in front of the hotel at about 10 am yesterday. When I enquired a few known cops they too did not elaborate and gave no clue. I provided tea to them and got into my routine work. In the afternoon, a team of 7 or 8 Policemen swooped on the hotel for a raid. They asked the Manager to get the main door closed instructing that none should be allowed to leave. One of the cops went straight to Room No. 135," explained Ravi.

The four suspects offered no resistance on being nabbed. They were brought down with their arms behind. Then only we realised there was something wrong, said Ravi unassumingly.
