Mangaluru: Alia – apple of everyone’s eyes in ‘Maa – Yeh Cinemaa Hai’

Mangaluru, Jun 3: After Maa’s birthday celebrations minus her son Sidharth and the Page 3 party sequence with his friends Tusshar and Ritesh and getting closer to Bipasha, it’s almost a showdown between Sidharth and Alia and on the other hand, Sidharth gets a clean warning from his office for coming late every day.

Moving ahead, this week episode will see Alia’s birthday and Sidharth knows how to woo her with bouquet of flowers and praises, giving her surprise. Alia, who’s a hairdresser to heroines, is busy at her film shoot and even on her birthday, she’s at work. It’s a romantic song shoot between the lead players of a film, shot by Karthik Venkatesh for which Alia is taking care of the heroines. The song takes her to romantic moments with Sidharth, as she dreams of him in between the song shoot.


    








Her birthday comes as a surprise to those in the film unit, when her family members – her brother Mahesh, sister-in-law Namrata and their kids Preeti and Sriman break out the news for a surprise during the shoot. The unit wishes her and she takes a break to spend time with her family members that includes her brother Ayush, who gives a sweet message from Goa.

Brothers Mahesh and Ayush and sister-in-law Namrata, who always are concerned about Alia's well being, insist her to settle in life with Sidharth. Alia tries to convince them that she will do so, soon after she gets his confirmation. On the other hand, Sidharth is too occupied with his work and relaxation, that he is not ready for any commitment at the moment; also he is not very comfortable in having a normal telephonic conversation with his mother, which irks Alia and she recommends him to see a psychiatrist.

On the other hand, Jaya Maa is been followed forcibly by Supriya; who is keen on her daughter to get married to Sidharth. She keeps on insisting her to take the proposal ahead, for which Jaya Maa somehow tries to escape from the situation, reason: even she is fond of Sidharth’s love interest Alia and is looking forward to have her as her daughter-in-law.

While Kannan, the caretaker of the house has gone to his village, Jaya’s sister Reema comes home to stay with her. And the episode comes to an end when her son-in-law Salman calls up to take a leave to the USA, as he has got his visa, tickets and is flying to be there for the musical concert and settle down with his beloved, Sonali.

The stacast in the episodes are: Jaya Maa (Meena Malani), Reema Aunty (Deepali Khambadkone), Alia (Sanjukta Ghosh), Sidharth (Bharath Laksmikanth), Jamuna Baai (Jamuna), Mahesh (Mahesh Dulam), Namrata (Anitha Dulam), Preeti (Aditi Dulam), Sriman (Sriman Dulam), Ayush (Silver Malani), Supriya (Vinny Fernandes), Salman (Vishal Digani). Also the Kannada film Darpana cast comprising of Arun Kumar, Sreeram, Madhura, Manjula Pillai along with Karthik Venkatesh, Selvam Mathappan, and Shivranjan are to be seen in a song sequence. Mohammed Sayeem and Maria Sonali as Dino and Lisa also play small characters. The episode also has Tulu and Konkani film director Dr Richard Castelino and his wife Leena Castelino with the priests and parishioners of Milagres Church playing small cameo roles.

The above sequences will be telecast in the fresh episodes of 'Maa – Yeh Cinemaa Hai' on Sunday, June 4 at 7.30 pm with its repeat on Tuesday, June 6 at 1.30 pm and Friday, June 9 at 11.30 pm.

The film series is edited by Santosh Chawla with assistance by Vignesh Thanupillai, music by Punith Ranganathan and is produced by Ranjeet Jha with Edward D'Souza.
