Mumbai, Mar 22: The governor of Maharashtra S C Jamir has greeted the people of Maharashtra on the occasion of Easter.

In his message, the governor said,'Easter Sunday is a day of celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. It symbolizes the victory of goodness and love over evil and hatred. The life of Jesus Christ so full of compassion and forgiveness has inspired, and continues to inspire generations of people across the world, bringing new hope and confidence to the believers.'

'May the sublime life of Jesus Christ be our moral and ethical beacon and guide us on the path of peace and happiness,' he added.
