Mumbai, Feb 29: After working 24/7 the whole year, artists desire for the achievement. They wish to know the result of their hard work. How much their work is appreciated and what remarks the critics has given to their year’s effort. Filmfare awards are not just a monument of a black lady but it carries proud, dignity, fruitful result and happiness. It brings glory and pride to the recipient. The night of filmfare award is not an usual night.

It is a night of aspiration and desires. It is an evening of glitz and glamour. It seems that the infinite stars of the sky landed on earth to enjoy the event. Every year the work of actors, actresses, directors, producers, lyricist, singers, cinematographers, action directors, technicians etc are taken into account and were given their respective amount of credit. There has been an extensive study of their year long work by the special juries and the deserving people are felicitated with the black dazzle lady. Stars step into the venue with great expectation. With every announcement tension brewed on the face of the contestants. Every heart wishes to walk to the platform and hold the award of success but only the few lucky ones can taste its flavor.

February 25th 2007 was also a similar kind of star studded night. Love couples Bipasha Basu with John Abraham, Preity Zinta with Ness Wadia, Saif Ali Khan with Kareena Kapoor and last but not the least Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone walked the venue hand in hand. The programme was held at the Yashraj Studio in Mumbai. The programme was hosted by kantabhai’s most favorite jodi King Khan Shahrukh Khan and Chhote Nawab of Bollywood Saif Ali Khan. They cut ridiculous jokes and the audience enjoyed the programme to the fullest. Laughter echoed from every corner of the Yashraj studio.

The ‘Filmfare Awards’ which is very often regarded as the ‘Indian Oscar’ is given to the outstanding talents holders from the film fraternity. Aamir Khan, the maker of much talked about film, Taaze Zameen Par was as usual absent from the award ceremony. Inspite of his absence, he remained very much prominent for his film. Aamir has not only proved himself as a best actor but he has also topped his name in film direction by bagging the best director award for his critically acclaimed film TZP. Shahrukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Konkana Sen Sharma, Shaan, Shreya Ghosal, Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor are the stars that dazzle during that memorable evening.

If some dignitaries are missing from the whole scenario then it’s the high-flying Bachchans family. It is said that they preferred to stay away from the black lady night because of Shahrukh, as he is well-known for cutting ridiculous jokes to the dignitaries. No films of Bachchans are nominated this year and they do not want to clap for others achievements is said to be another factor. But inspite of their absence, the glory of the 53rd Filmfare award went on.

The night saw the face of many prominent personalities from the film fraternities with high designer costumes and jewellery. It started and ended quite fabulously. Justification is done on the selection of the awardees. The winner left with a smile on their face and a satisfaction in their heart while the loser left with hopes to perform better next time.
