Mangalore:  Dr Urban D'Souza Bags 'Malaysian Tech Expo 2008'

Mangalore, Feb 26:  Dr Urban D'Souza has bagged prestigious Malaysian tech Expo 2008' award for his innovative thesis.

Malaysian Technology Expo invites scientists from different branches of science to put in their research invention/innovation papers to compete for the National awards.
 
Accordingly Dr Urban J A D’Souza, associate professor of the School of Medicine, University of Malaysia Sabah, presented his innovative thesis entitled “Innovative Strategies in Learning and Memory of Medical Curriculum,” and succeeded in bagging the bronze medal award from the Malaysian Tech Expo 2008 jury.
 
Dr D'Souza's paper mainly deals with methods to improve students' learning and memory. As medical curriculum for doctors is loaded with facts and heavy curriculum, Dr D'Souza in his thesis has listed out various innovative ways to learn and memorize difficult topics easily without stress. The juries appreciating this innovative research method   conferred the bronze medal on him.
 
Dr D’Souza hails from Udyavar near Udupi and is the son of Celine D’Souza and the late Francis D’Souza. He has published many scientific papers in international journals. He is also writes occasionally for www.daijiworld.com.
