A two-day workshop on 'Physiotherapy Management of People with Spinal Chord Injuries' will be inaugurated at Father Muller Medical College conference hall here on Friday February 29 at morning.  The workshop has been organized by the department of physiotherapy.
 
The resource person on the occasion will be Dr Lisa Harvey, a senior lecturer from the University of Sydney, Australia. In view of the increasing number of people with spinal cord injuries, and the diagnosis of this being devastating and frightening to trauma victims and their families, rehabilitation is crucial, stated the press release from the institution. 

The workshop aims at developing problem-solving skills for superior rehabilitation of persons with spinal cord injuries as well as providing practical advice with evidence-based background for both a beginner as well as an experienced specialist, the release stated.
 
The function will be inaugurated by Capt Ganesh Karnik, member of the legislative council. Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director of Father Muller Charitable Institute will be presiding over the function, while Pravin Aaron, chairman of Physiotherapy Board of Studies, RGUHS, Bangalore will be the guest of honour.
