Beijing, Feb 13 (IANS): China on Monday opposed the test-launch of a ballistic missile by North Korea, urging parties concerned to exercise restraint and maintain regional stability.

China opposes the test-launch of a ballistic missile by North Korea, which was in violation of UN Security Council resolutions, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shunag was quoted as saying by Xinhua news agency.

Pyongyang on Monday claimed it successfully test-fired a surface-to-surface medium- and long-range ballistic missile Pukguksong-2.
