Firefighters battle 80 bushfires in Australia


Canberra, Feb 13 (IANS): Emergency teams have been trying to control about 80 bushfires in Australia, authorities said on Monday.

No human casualties have been reported although at least one firefighter was reportedly injured, Efe news reported.

Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said the fires have led to huge losses of property and livestock. They have destroyed more than 450,000 hectares of land.
