Goregaon Karnataka Sangha Celebrates its Golden Jubilee

Mumbai, Feb 17: The golden jubilee celebration of Goregaon Karnataka Sangha was celebrated at the Pramodan ground Goregaon (west) here on Saturday February 16.
 


The programme was inaugurated by Excel India Protective Paints Pvt Ltd (EIPPPL) managing director Vevik Nathu. He also said that it is indeed great to  form a part of the Sangh, which has taken upon itself lots of responsibility in the society and worked for the betterment of the society. He also remembered his grandfather poet Dara Bendre who had spoken a lot a about Kannada and had also done great research about it. 
 
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Gopal C Shetty said that it is a laudable effort on part of the Sangha, that it creates a sense of oneness and belonging-ness to one's own state. "I am grateful to the founder and to all of those who have worked hard to come to this day of Golden Jubilee celebration," he said.
 


Eight people from the locality of Goregaon were felicitated by the Sangha under the president-ship of Goregaon Karnataka Sangh president Surendra S Saliyan. K K Poojary, Krishna V Acharya, Anand Shetty, Madhav G Sumarna, Jaganath V Kotiyan, Balakrishan Nidvannaya, were the eight people felicitated. 
 
On this occasion hotelelier, industrialist and Bunts association leader Padmanabha S Payyade, Arkediya Shipping Limited director M G Karkera, Dhiraj Ramesh Associates president Ramesh K Shetty were present.
 


While at the cultural programme Lakshmi R Shetty, Hiriyanna S Shetty and programme organizing committee working president G T Acharya were present.
