Mumbai, Feb 11: Shaneeshwar Maha Puja was held with great fervour under the leadership of Sri Shani Mahatme Seva Samiti, located at Pahelwan chawl, Jawahar Nagar, Sai Baba Road, Khar (East) here.  

Various religious rituals, such as Ganahoma, Satyanarayana puja, Kalasha muhurtha, bhajan, mangalarati, reciting of scriptures from Ramayana and Mahabaratha, distribution of prasadams and free food offerings to all devotees were held as part of Maha Puja.  

‘Tulu Nadu Siri Mahatme’ yakshagana play was performed by Sri Guru Narayana Yakshagana Troupe at Billava Bhavan, located at Santacruz (East), later.

Shankar K Suvarna, president of Sri Shani Mahatma Seva Samiti, Devendra V Bangera, vice president, Yogesh K Hejamady, honorary chief secretary, Nagesh G Suvarna, honorary treasurer, Vinod Y Hejamady, Padma Shetty, joint treasurers, Bhoja C Poojary, executive president, Purandardas Shetty, vice president, C N Shetty and Ramesh N Poojary, joint secretaries, R D Kotian, executive president of puja sub committee, Kesari B Amin, Prakash S Shetty and organizing secretaries and others assisted in the Maha Puja.
