Mumbai, Feb 8: Force India Formula One team unveiled its car for the 2008 season and the team colours at a ceremony held at the historic Gateway of India on Thursday evening.

Force India, owned by liquor baron Vijay Mallya, unveiled its team colours of white, tungsten and gold at the ceremony.

Launching the car, Mallya expressed hope that one day the nation would join hands in cheering for the "silver arrow" in the world of competitive motor racing.

Mallya, chairman of the UB Group and Kingfisher Airlines, said the airlines' tie-up with aviation major EADS and Airbus had helped in the development of the aerodynamics of the car.

Team drivers Giancarlo Fisichella, Adrian Sutil and Vitantonio Liuzzi were present at the ceremony apart from the support staff of the team.

The glamour quotient for the evening was added by actors Shilpa Shetty, her sister Shamita, Sameera Reddy and Lara Dutta.
