Musical event to revive the 'Baithak' culture


New Delhi, Jan 11 (IANS): To recreate the long-forgotten format of baithaks, a musical event will be held here at India Habitat Centre on January 14, 2017.

Titled 'Baithak', the event will be graced by legendary artist Ustad Aashish Khan playing Sarod along with Kathak performance by Pt. Sandeep Mahavir.

The Legends of India an organisation nurturing Indian art forms will be organising tht 'Baithak', an event where audience can directly interact with the artists.

"Music, being the purest form of art, possesses a power to transcend all barriers of language, religion, geography and hierarchy. Legends of India looks forward to continuing popularising and appreciating Indian music through programmes like Baithak and create memorable experiences," said Dipayan Mazumdar, Founder Chairman of Legends of India.
