Uber launches UberFLEET for fleet-partners in India


New Delhi, Dec 6 (IANS): Taxi hailing app company Uber on Tuesday announced the launch of an android application -- UberFLEET -- for its fleet-partners in the country.

The company said the app is designed to improve the overall productivity for fleet owners by making the process of managing drivers more efficient and reducing their downtime.

"UberFLEET allows fleet partners with driver positioning, helping drivers achieve maximum performance and overall, run their fleets more efficiently," said Apurva Dalal, Head of Engineering, Uber India.

"Uber is at forefront of micro-entrepreneurship opportunity creation in India and UberFleet app is yet another step towards encouraging and supporting the entrepreneurial ambitions of our fleet partners," Dalal added.

The app comes with features like live map, driver performance dashboard, and driver status logs, the company said.
