Balkrishna Bhandary Wins Silver, Bronze Medals in Swimming

Mumbai, Jan 19: Balkrishna Bhandary, a resident of Chembur here won silver and bronze medals in the Senate Royale - 4th National Masters Aquatic Championships organized by the Swimming Federation of India recently.

Bhandary won the medals by finishing 50 metres freestyle in 40 seconds and 50 metres butterfly stroke in 50 seconds in the mens' 60-64 years category.

More than 600 swimmers from different states of India took part in the competition. The championship was held for the first time in the city.
