India reach 33/1 at tea; need 70 more runs to win third Test


Mohali, Nov 29 (IANS): India reached 33/1 at tea on the fourth day of the third cricket Test against England here on Tuesday -- 70 runs shy of registering their second consecutive win in the five-match series.

Chasing a paltry 103, India lost opener Murali Vijay (0) in the very second over but Parthiv Patel (16 not out) and Cheteshwar Pujara (13 not out) ensured there were no more hiccups till the tea break.

Earlier, India skittled England out for a modest 236 in the second session of play to concede a 102-run lead.
