Mumbai, Jan 5: Airline Tourism Academy (ATA) was inaugurated on Sunday December 30, 2007 at Thane here, by Fr John Rumao, parish priest, St John the Baptist Church and High School, Thane and Anant Tare, former MLA,  former Mayor, (Shiv Sena) Thane, and Niranjan Davkare, president, Samanvay Prathishtan Thane.

On the occasion, Jayant G Sequeira, director, ATA, spoke on the Travel and Tourism Industry, its growth and the need for qualified personnel for this particular industry.

ATA offers courses in:

  • Diploma In International Airline And Travel Management
  • Diploma In Air Cargo & International Courier Management Diploma In In-flight Management
  • Diploma In GDS / CRS Reservations
    (Galileo Authorsied Training Centre)
  • Diploma In Foreign Languages
  • Certificate In Travel And Tourism
     (Govt. Of Maharashtra Reg)
  • IATA-UFTAA Foundation Level Coaching

Duration of the courses ranges from six months to a year, depending on the programme.
