Nine policemen killed in Myanmar


Naypyidaw (Myanmar), Oct 10 (IANS): Nine policemen were killed and five injured when dozens of armed men attacked three border posts in Myanmar's Rakhine state, police said on Monday.

Eight armed men were killed and two captured alive, Xinhua news agency reported. The border posts were attacked on Sunday.

The police recovered 62 assorted arms, 10,130 rounds of ammunition, one bayonet and 27 cartridges from the posts.
