BSF seizes Pakistan boat with nine on board

Bhuj (Gujarat), Oct 5 (IANS): The BSF on Wednesday intercepted a Pakistani boat in Sir Creek area adjoining Gujarat's Kutch district close to the Pakistan maritime border with nine people on board.

A senior Border Security Force official said the boat "with eight to nine persons on board was caught by our patrol team in the morning close to the Sir Creek area.

"Interrogation teams have been sent to inquire about them in depth. So far, we have seized only fish and some fishing equipment from the boat.

"But the possibility of these people spying for Pakistan can't be ruled out," an officer said.

The Coast Guard had on October 2 seized one Pakistani boat off Porbandar in Gujarat.
