Rahul Gandhi prays at Mathura's Dwarkadheesh temple


Mathura, Oct 1 (IANS): Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday began his road show and "Kisan Maha Yatra" after offering prayers at the Dwarkadheesh temple of Lord Krishna here.

Gandhi will later in the day leave for Agra to begin another road show at St Peter's College.

The Congress leader will address a public rally at Etmadpur in Firozabad and hold a "khaat sabha" in Tundla, the native place of Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Raj Babbar.

He will spend the night at the PWD guest house in Firozabad.

The October 2 programme of the Gandhi scion in Farukkhabad has been shelved as a local event -- Ram Baraat -- is held that day.
