M'lore: Annual Day Celebrations of Ramakrishna Math Begin

As part of its annual day celebrations, various religious and cultural activities is being held at the Ramakrishna Math at Mangaladevi here in the city from Friday December 21 to Sunday December 23.
 
The celebrations began on Friday December 21 with lectures and discourses on the life and works of the Holy Mother Sri Sharada Devi. Bhajans, Vedic chanting and other spiritual programmes were also organized. Also on the occasion Mysore Ramakrishna Ashram president Swami Nityasthananda and scholar Vijayabharathi from Bangalore spoke on the life of Holy Mother.
 
Further according to the release, a seminar for the youth will be held on December 22 in connection with Swami Vivekananda Day celebrations. Lecturer of VVN College, Bangalore Murlidhar H N and Swatmaramananda Swamiji of the Math will deliver lectures on 'Thoughts of Swami Vivekananda' and 'Vivekananda and faith' respectively.
 
Other special sessions of discourses on spiritual guru Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa will be held on December 23. On the occasion Muralidhar H N and Nityasthananda will be giving lectures.
 
The grand celebration will finally conclude with cultural programmes by the residents of the boys' home being run by the ashram on December 23. Yakshagana episode Gadayuddha by Sri Veeranjaneya Yakshagana Mandali will be also be enacted.
