Two soldiers killed in firing along LoC by India, says Pakistan


Islamabad, Sep 29 (IANS): At least two soldiers were killed as Indian and Pakistani troops exchanged fire along the Line of Control (LoC), the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.

The exchange of fire began at 2.30 a.m., ISPR said in a statement, and continued till 8.00 a.m., Dawn online reported.

"Pakistani troops befittingly responded to Indian unprovoked firing on the LoC in Bhimber, Hotspring Kel and Lipa sectors," the statement said.

The latest incident comes as the Indian Army said on Thursday it had inflicted significant casualties in surgical strikes on terrorism in Pakistan.
