Defence acquisition council clears proposals worth Rs 1,900 cr


New Delhi, Sep 28 (IANS): The Defence Acquisition Council, chaired by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, on Wednesday cleared proposals worth Rs 1,900 crore (close to $3 billion), including for an electronic warfare system for low intensity conflict in Jammu and Kashmir.

The electronic warfare system is worth Rs 330 crore, an official said.
